Who is JD Finance?

Is JD Finance registered with the NCR?
Yes. JD Finance (Pty) Ltd is registered with the National Credit Regulator (NCR) under registration number NCRCP19611. You can verify our registration on the NCR website.
Who can apply for a loan?
To qualify you must be:
- 18 years or older
- In possession of a valid South African ID
- Earning a regular income
- Holder of an active South African bank account
How much can I borrow?
New customers may borrow up to R1,500. Returning customers in good standing may qualify for up to R3,000. The exact amount offered depends on your affordability assessment.
What documents do I need?
You will need:
- Your South African ID
- Your latest payslip
- Three months' bank statements
- Proof of banking details (a cancelled cheque or official bank letter)
- Proof of residential address
How long does the application take?
We process applications as quickly as possible once all required documents have been received and verified. Most decisions are communicated the same business day.
How and when do I repay my loan?
Repayment terms are set out in your signed credit agreement. Repayments are collected via debit order or another approved repayment method on the agreed due date.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Please contact us immediately if you are unable to make a payment. Missing a payment may result in:
- Additional charges and penalty fees
- A negative impact on your credit record
- Referral to a debt collection process
Are there any fees or interest?
Yes. All fees and interest are charged strictly in accordance with the National Credit Act. A full cost quotation is provided to you upfront before you sign any agreement — there are no hidden fees.
